According to the organiser, 1,500 entries from 54 countries were submitted for the Green Product Award and the Green Concept Award 2022. Design, innovation and sustainability were considered when assessing the entries and selecting the nominees. The Wireless-T door contact switch won the Green Product Award 2022 in the Building Components category!

The wireless and battery-free Wireless T door contact switch generates the energy for its radio signal solely through mechanical actuation. No cables need to be routed to the switch during installation. There is also no need to replace batteries in the switch regularly.

About the Green Future Club:
The international Green Product Award has recognised products and services since 2013. The assessment considers design, innovation and sustainability. The club aims to inspire consumers and industry with examples and to offer award participants feedback and networking opportunities.
The categories in the 2022 edition included Workspace, Architecture & Tiny Houses, Fashion, Building Components, Interior & Lifestyle, Kids, Consumer Goods & Body Care, Kitchen, New Materials, Mobility and Sport. The Green Concept Award was presented in cooperation with the IKEA Stiftung in 2022 and exclusively recognised concepts, materials and prototypes that were not yet on the market.
